The family of actor David Carradine are outraged over the publication of a David Carradine death photo. Forensics photos of the Carradine death scene were published in Thai Rath, a Bangkok tabloid, and his family is threatening to sue any media outlet that reprints the Carradine death photo.

Thairath published Carradine photo in a Bangkok tabloid features Carradine hanging naked and suspended from a bar in a hotel closet. Carradine's face and other parts of his body were obscured.

The Thai tabloid did not credit the photo to a particular source, but Thai authorities said they suspect it was a photo taken by a forensics team that was somehow leaked.

Brother Keith Carradine has said his family will consider legal action over the Thai Rath Carradine photo.

Thai Rath is a Thai-language daily newspaper published in Bangkok and distributed nationwide. Thai Rath is a broadsheet published with two sections. The first section is devoted to news. Although the news section is best known for its sensationalist coverage of crime and accidents, it also includes stories on Thai politics, economy and society. The second section features coverage of sport and entertainment. Thai Rath is the oldest and best-selling newspaper in Thailand, claiming a circulation in excess of 1 million copies daily.

Thai Rath was founded on 25 December 1962 by Kampol Watcharapol. Kampol had started two other newspapers, Khaophap Raiwan (ข่าวภาพรายวัน), which were shut down by the Thai government in 1958. He then ran Siang Ang Thong (เสียงอ่างทอง) from 1 May 1959 to 25 December 1962.

The family of the late David Carradine seem to be outraged over the pictures of David’s dead body that were published by the Thai newspaper Thai Rath.

The Thai Rath newspaper, which is a regional newspaper published in Bangkok in Thai language, ran disturbing pictures of David Carradine’s corpse in the front and as well as in its inside pages. The pictures published on the Saturday cover of the newspaper Thai Rath shows a naked body of David Carradine suspended from a clothes bar in a suite closet. The hands apparently bound together above the head and feet on the floor. While the face is blacked out, other more explicit parts of the picture are censored. And, the relatives of late David Carradine do like any part of it.

The photo has yet to be published by any additional tabloids or websites.

Thai police have since said that accidental suffocation may be the cause of the actor's death after they discovered a rope around Carradine's genitals.

Tattoos on the lower half of his nude body can be seen.

Sources close to the actor told Radar Online that he had a history of engaging in auto-erotic asphyxiation, a sexual practice often involving a rope around the neck.

In response to the image, Carradine's brother Keith released a statement that says:

"The family of David Carradine wants it understood that, per attorney Mark Geragos, any persons, publications or media outlets will be fully prosecuted for invasion of privacy and causing severe emotional distress if the photos are published."
